<p>The AJ character rig was designed for a collaborative animation project. The rig features fk/ik blending on the arms and legs, set driven key finger controls and NURBS curve slider controls for facial blendshapes.</p>

<p>This angel wing is one in a set of three wings used in Matt Via&#8217;s &#8220;Remnant&#8221; game level. The geometry was optimized for the Unreal game engine, so the challenge for this rig was to create believable overlapping movement without an underling mesh.</p>

<h1>Automatic FK/IK Leg and Reverse Foot</h1>
<p>This python and mel script automates the set up of a leg skeleton. First, it creates a reference skeleton with locators that can be positioned to fit any mesh. Then it creates joints at the position of each locator and parents them into a skeleton. FK controls are then added. Then IK controls are added to the leg and a reverse foot is created. After the heel is positioned the reverse foot is re-parented and attributes are added to a foot control for rotating the foot around different pivots.</p>
